It's a long walk to get to this beach, up and down steep hills, but when it's hot it gets quite crowded as it's the only sandy, flat beach on that stretch of the Cornish coast. I walked here with my daughter and two friends from London. I wanted to show them what I loved about the area and although they liked the walk there, they weren't so keen on the beach and through their eyes I could see what they meant, so I led them out around the cove onto a wild rocky area full of rock-pools, caves and the carcasses of crabs eaten by the seagulls.
